Examination Progression Scheme



Level-wise Examination Progression Scheme:
Any student may appear in the examination in maximum six papers at a time in sequential order as per the following progression scheme:

  • Operational level:
  • Those students who have joined CMA certification from Operational Level-1 on the basis of 12-Year academic education may appear in the examination of maximum six papers upto Operational Level -2.

  • Managerial level:
  • Those students who have joined CMA certification from Managerial Level-1 on the basis of 14-Year or 16-year [Non-Commerce/ Business studies] academic education may appear in the examination of maximum six papers upto Managerial Level-2.
  • A student can appear in maximum of six papers upto Managerial Level-1 examination along with leftover courses of Operational Level-1 or 2, if he/she has passed or obtained waiver in all / any papers of Operational Level-1 or 2.
  • A student can appear in maximum of six papers upto Managerial Level-2 examination along with courses of Managerial Level-1, if he/she has passed or obtained waiver in all the papers of Operational Level-1 & 2.

  • Strategic Level:
  • Those students who have joined CMA certification from Managerial Level-2 on the basis of 16-Year [Commerce/ Business Studies] academic education may appear in the examination of maximum six papers upto Strategic Level-1.
  • A student can appear in maximum of six papers upto Strategic Level-1 examination along with courses of Managerial Level-2, if he/she has passed or obtained waiver in all the papers upto Managerial Level-1.
  • A student can appear in maximum of six papers upto Strategic Level-2 examination along with the course of Strategic Level-1, if he/she has passed or obtained waiver in all the papers upto Managerial Level-2.

  • Practical Corporate Training Modules
  • A student can appear in in Level-1 and Level-2 of Practical Corporate Training examination, if he/she has passed or obtained waiver in all the papers upto Managerial Level-2 and completed examination eligibility requirements to appear in Strategic Level-1.

  • Switchover students
  • The students who have been switched over from existing scheme of study or earlier schemes are allowed to sit for maximum six (6) subject(s)/ module(s) of those Level(s) only where these equivalent merged subject(s)/ module(s) are available/placed as per transitional arrangement.

Moreover, besides the revised scheme the Examination Committee may also consider the request(s) on case to case basis which is/are not covered under the above parameters, provided there shall be no clash of examination papers for a candidate in the same examination session.
