Study Options

The study options suit to the needs of both full time and part time students. There are two main modes of study at ICMAP: Coaching Classes and Distance Learning Programme (DLP). Coaching classes are offered in two shifts: morning and evening. Students can pursue their studies as per their choice, convenience, and commitments. They can also apply for a change from coaching classes to DLP scheme or vice versa. A change over in shifts is also possible if a student applies for it at a later stage.

Mode of Learning

Students are admitted twice a year - for Spring Session in March and for Fall Session in September. The students may opt studies through:

  • Coaching Classes
  • Distance Learning Programme

Medium of Instruction

Medium of communication and examination at ICMA Pakistan is English. The same language is used for communication among the students.

Coaching Classes

The Institute organizes intensive coaching classes at all ICMA Pakistan centers in morning and evening. A candidate seeking admission in coaching classes can contact the nearest ICMA Pakistan centers as per their choice, convenience and commitment.

  • The completion of each Semester requires a period of about six months, of which 3 months are spent on course study through coaching or DLP and the rest are spent on self-study, examination and result.
  • The syllabus serves as a guideline for the students, teachers and examiners as to the scope of subjects and the study time to be allocated to various topics.
  • A list of books prescribed for core-readings and references are adequately cover the syllabus of the relevant subjects. The students are encouraged to go through other related books and study material for seeking knowledge.
  • The case study method is also used to equip the students with the required knowledge and ability to face problems in their practical life.
  • The percentage of the weightage is shown against different sections of the detailed syllabus, available on website. This serves as a guide to devote the study time each section requires. The weightage does not necessarily specify the number of marks to be allocated to the topics shown in each area in the examination. The students, therefore, should study all the topics in the syllabus. This weightage may not be exactly followed by the examiners.
  • The Institute's Curriculum is competency based and the major aim is to prepare the prospective members of the Institute not only for the positions of Chief Financial Officer in different organizations but also for the ultimate position of Chief Executive Officer, if they are associated with some industrial or commercial organizations, and for the position of Auditors as well as Management Consultants, if they are in public practice examination.

Distance Learning Programme

Distance Learning Programme (DLP) facility is available through Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad centers of the Institute. Those students who cannot attend Coaching Classes can avail the programme.
